I named this post what you now about me, and what you don’t know about me. Sometimes people tend to judge people by their names. In this post you might learn some new things about me, and some of this things you might have gusted or already now about me.

You might know black is my favorite color by looking at my background. I like black because it goes with everything and it also brings out other colors. You might of gusted I liked money because the tree of money is the biggest object on the picture I put together. I used this picture of a money tree and the chest with gold, because my mom always tells me “we don’t live under a money tree,” every time I ask here for money. On day I would love to have lots of money but not a money tree, because there are other people out in the world need money more then me.

What you might not now about me is that I like lions. A lion head is at the top of the tree. Lions are my favorite animals because there are the “king of the Jungle.” Beside that, when lions or somewhat young when there are kick out of the “pride.” It a tough world and only the strong survive and I feel this is how the world works. In the middle of the tree are purple sparks. The sparks are special to me because Sparks is my last name. Most of my friends call me Sparks instead of Danny. The car in front of the sparks is my future car. The car is a 2007 Lamborghini, and it goes from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and on day I would have this car. Under the car there is an Elite Xbox 360. It is special to because when I am not with my friends I at home play Madden, or listening to music. To the left of the Xbox is a basketball coming out of the house. Basketball is my favorite sport and I have played basketball since I was in the forth grade. When I was young I used to play basketball in the house, and my mom always throw the ball outside. To the right of the Xbox there is a football. I recently started playing football about three years ago in high school. I play football with my friends at school, and a lot on my video game system. The house I got under the tree symbolizes the house of my dreams. I on day want to buy a house with lots of trees around it because I like the shade.

The D, that is on the left lower side of the screen stands for Danny. The S on the lower right side stands for Sparks.

My avatar appearance did not compare to me. The second life program was not designed to match ever person’s looks. The first features I started editing were my skin tone. I started editing my skin because it’s the first step on making my avatar look like me. The feature that was easy to replicate for me was the skin, because I just found the skin that was closes to mine.For the torso I needed little adjustment in that aspect of the game. The most difficult part to me was the hair. The hair was something I could never get right, because I do not have fair hair. This game was not designed for some people with fancy hairstyles. I also think the color in my lips was hard to replicate because its too distinctive. I think my shoulders where more accurate on my avatar. It would require a lot of faces details to make to make my avatar look like me. My avatar does not remind me of anyone I know.

This picture in the background is a map of the Bay Area. I am from ,East Palo Alto which is on this map is right under the IKEA sign. I also choose to use a map of the Bay Area because I want too represent not only East Palo Alto but also the whole bay.

The Bay Area has lot of beautiful places and landmarks. For example, in the middle of this page there is a picture of a landmark that is famous all over the US and most of the world, the Golden Gate Bridge. This picture means a lot to me and whenever, I feel it brings me back home. It reminds me of all the people that lives there and reminds me of my mixed community. I used two pictures on the bottom left and top left corner of the, Fore Seasons Holt, which is in East Palo Alto. This building draws people is attention and makes people want to visit the swimming pool which is a luxury item and part of the restaurant. These two pictures remind me of my first time staying a night at the Holt. The picture on the bottom right is a sign this from IKEA. I choose picture because it bring back all the good times I had.

To me community is a place where people live and support one another. A community tries to keep each other’s safe and build strong communication lines with each other. Our class blog is a community because we are sharing our interest together on one page. We can communicate about our interest with each other and just be there to support each other.

Media is a big part of my life, it is all around me. I use media though music, video-games, or drawing pictures about how I feel.Some of the most recent exposure I had with media was Xbox live, e-mail, download move, music, and cell phone. These five things are very important to me and they’re part of my everyday use. I have recently come in contact with Xbox Live on June 13th 2007. Now that I have Xbox live I mostly play Madden 07. On my Xbox live I downloaded a cartoon called “Happy Feet“. I just started using E-mail almost a year ago. I got my first E-mail address at school with the help of a teacher. Now that I know how to use an e-mail I use it everyday. I first used Music Maker 11 almost two months ago. This music making program helps me to create beats for songs. I first started to use a cell phone when I was in the eighth grade. E-mail and the Cell Phone help explore the five different types of media, which are text, images, audio, interactive, and video. The phone and E-mail help me keep close contact with people. using Xbox live is an interactive experience and I could download movies, games, and pictures. Movies today are in color with sound and I could clearly hear and see what is going on. With music I could express how I feel.I use Xbox live to communicate with others through video games. I communicate with others by live chat or text. When I communicate with E-mail it is usually through text. I use videos and music to connect with others culture and emotions. I communicate with other also by phone. I like to talk on my phone but my friends like to text. So I use it both ways. I hope to make change in media through 3D holograph videos. Sometime in my life time, I would like to go to move theater featuring only holograph videos.
