Due to some odd technical difficulties that did not occur when Trevor was around, we were finally able to complete our podcast about sportsmenship within the S.M.A.S.H. community.  I hope you enjoy my version.

For the third assignment, we were assigned to make a podcast. I expected this to be an easier assignment for me due to the fact I have been a part of SMASHcast for an entire school year. When actually working on it, however, I found out it wasn’t as simple as I thought it would be. The part that was most difficult for me was the “personal remix” of the interview because I knew what I wanted to do, but I was not completely sure how to go about it. Eventually, I finished my podcast and I’m happy to say I’m quite satisfied with the result.

My groups podcast is about the comparison of this SMASH summer to last SMASH summer. This podcast shows the high and the lows and is sincerely from the voice of 1 student and 1 RA.

Steps for uploading your mp3 to the blog so that it really becomes a podcast

1. Go to the Write Post window
2. Scroll down to the Upload dialogue
3. Browse to your file
4. Click Upload
5. Select, “Link to: File”
6. Click “Send to editor”
7. Publish and categorize

Making this podcast was very stressful, since we were given only so much time.  As well, working in the halls made an echo and there were people walking around making lots of background noises.  With so little time, it was hard to record again, so we didn’t have very much to work with.  I hope with Assignment #3, we will be able to have more time to work on our podcast and be able to polish it.
