What aspects of your life are a game? Is it best to study one hour per day for a week or seven hours the night before the big exam? Which trick-or-treat route will yield the most Halloween candy for the least amount of foot steps? When will applying to one extra college impede the quality of the others?
These questions may sound like unanswerable dilemmas, but they are actually solvable game theory scenarios. Using math and reason, every decision in life can be dissected and solved. Is it possible that a video game can teach others and test theories about solving world hunger or global warming? The Game Project is going to find out.
We welcome you to observe these students as they embark on a unique course that allows them to design socially-conscious games together and program interactive prototypes. This site will serve to document the group project's progress, showcase each student's prototypes, and also cultivate an online virtual community where peers and industry professionals can discuss and critique our creations.
