I myself am always exposed to the media even if I don’t want to be. I absolutely love electronics and every since I was a little kid I loved to play video games like Sonic The Hedgehog , watch television and play on the computer. With these passions the media has come into my life a lot, whether it is internet ads on different websites to Game Informers Magazines. For a lot of the popular media and the higher up companies such as Microsoft, IBM and FOX as examples I think they do an especially good job in advertising. They use such strategies as when FOX bought Myspace from Tom the original creator for millions of dollars so that they could control the ads on the site that millions of people visit everyday (some are even addicted). Using other Medias such as TV and commercials is a great way to advertise your company especially on popular shows such as Friends and Yo Momma. Overall I think that in the future if I am in charge of a big company using the media would be a great way to market my company and I could definitely benefit from it.

Assignment One - Personal Profile & Statement: Media & Me

The first assignment we did was a hard one for me personally, text wise. Adding the text and the html and pictures and background was the easy part but for the life of me I could not figure out what to say for my personal statement. It took at least 2 days of brainstorming and then thirty minutes of typing and then on top of that I had to proofread it. Writing isn’t my strong point and neither is choosing the write words to say to express myself in that manner, that’s what, made this so challenging for me.
