Hello My name is Malik and i am a 3rd year S.M.A.S.H. scholar going into the 12 th grade. There are five different types of media; video, audio, print, images, and internet. Being a teenager in the 21st century i am exposed to ceveral types of media. I am exposed tomainly video, audio, and theinternet. The internet is a huge type of media which involves all four of the other types of media as well. Audio can be heard watching television, or listening to the radio, or even on the internet. Media is every where you turn and it is a part of our life styles.In my free time i enjoy playing basketball and soccer. I enjoy watching and trying to imitate And 1 basketball players. They take basketball from the street level and fine tune it to make it as flashy as possible. I also like playing with remote controll cars during my free time. I also have an interest in fast cars and motorcycles as you wil be able to tell by my montage. Drift Racing is something which has very recently caught my attention. This is like what is seen in the new Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift. Drifting is a type of racing which takes a lot of skill, speed, guts and technique. I like going to the movies and hanging out with my friends on the weekends. I also enjoy photography and video editing. |
| Assignment One - Personal Profile & Statement: I was very excited to start this assignment because I was escited to make my own page. The only thing was that this assignment turned out more difficult than thought. It is more difficult to say things about myself than i thought it was. It is nice to have my own page which displays my interests and my ideas. |
Assignment Two - Montage: What's In A Name?  This montage assignment was fun because i love photography and this gave me a chance to learn how to use photoshop. Starting off i realized that I had a lot of great ideas, but implementing them was very difficult. This did not turn out as I had imagined it but all in all it turned out ok for using photoshop for the firts time. I am m ost proud of the Notorious B.I.G. picture on the hood of the car and the flag on the side of the car. With the help of Simon and Trevor (the teachers) i was able to take the normal images and form them onto the car like they were already there. I will continue to use photoshop and hopefully i will get really good at it. |
